Vol. 384 No. 2

Written Answers. - Dungarvan (County Waterford) Driver Testing.

174.

asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the fact that driver-testing takes place only once in six weeks in Dungarvan, County Waterford, which is totally inadequate; if there are proposals to improve the situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Driving tests have been conducted in Dungarvan on an average of once every three weeks during 1988 to date. The current waiting period for a driving test at the Dungarvan test centre is 23 weeks, which is exactly the average waiting period for the country as a whole.
