asked the Minister for Health if he will list the members of the boards of State and semi-State bodies under his aegis; and the remuneration payable to each chairperson.

This information sought by the Deputy in relation to the membership of each Board of State and semi-State body under my aegis including the period of appointment of each member is being forwarded to him under separate cover.

Of the various bodies under my control, fees are payable to the chairperson in only two instances as follows: Voluntary Health Insurance Board, £800 per annum; An Bord Uchtála, the chairperson who is a District Justice (retired) receives pension from the Department of Justice and a "top up" sum from the Department of Health, which amounts aggregated together total the salary of a District Justice.
