Vol. 384 No. 7

Written Answers. - Mullingar General Hospital.

70.

asked the Minister for Health when it is proposed to equip fully and open the new extension in Mullingar General Hospital, County Westmeath; the reason for the delay in opening same; and the cost of the investment in the extension to date.

I gave approval in March this year to the Midland Health Board to equip and commission the first stage of the development at Mullingar Hospital. The question of opening the new extension will be considered further by the Midland Health Board in the context of its non-capital allocation for 1989. The capital cost of the extension to date is £10.4 million.
