asked the Minister for the Environment if an application has been received from Donegal County Council to finance completed essential repair grant projects in County Donegal; the amount requested; and when payments will be made.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 164 and 165 together.
The funding of the essential repairs grants scheme is the responsibility of the local authorities. However, the Department recoups to the authorities 50 per cent of their outlay subject to a maximum of £600 per house. All recoupments due by my Department to Donegal County Council under the scheme have been made.
