asked the Taoiseach in respect of the Government's 1992 campaign (1) if he or any of his departmental officials have attended or participated in any of the meetings/events which have been organised throughout the country in relation to this campaign, (2) the date and location of such meetings, (3) the title and purpose of the meeting and (4) the implications for his Department of that meeting as it related to 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Following my launch on 4 July of the national campaign, co-ordinated with the social partners, to prepare for the Single European Market by 31 December 1992, members of the Government according to functional responsibility and officials from different Departments, including my own, have attended the meetings and events, upwards of 100, throughout the country. Compilation of the other details sought by the Deputy would require disproportionate cost and time.
