The total amount of the national debt and the amounts denominated in Irish pounds and in foreign currencies for each year are indicated. Capital repayments are defined as scheduled repayments of foreign debt and national loans. As regards (4) of the Deputy's question, the figures available and given are for interest paid on the national debt each year.
