The provision of the type of information requested by the Deputy in respect of actual grant payments from my Department's capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities would involve an inordinate amount of time and I am not prepared to divert staff for this purpose. Should the Deputy wish to inquire about a particular project I will endeavour to supply the information sought. However, the Deputy is referred to the beneficiary compendium compiled by the national lottery which gives details on a county basis of grant allocations.
A grant of £300,000 was paid by my Department in 1988 to Waterford Regional Sports Centre. No grants were paid in 1987.
