The Southern Health Board have entered into contracts of sales of property amounting to £455,600 in the period 1 January 1988 to 27 April 1989. To date £100,000 has been realised by them in respect of these contracts. The bulk of the proceeds of these sales will be applied to the provision of more appropriate care for psychiatric and mentally handicapped persons in line with the recommendations of Planning for the Future.
