I would refer the Deputy to my Department's annual reports for the years 1977 to 1986 and to the annual bulletins of housing statistics for the years 1977 to 1988. Expenditure in 1987 was £16.7 million and in 1988 was £15.3 million. Grants are paid when the Department is satisfied that the conditions of the scheme have been met.
