Returns by housing authorities indicate that at 31 December 1988 there were 17,737 approved applicants on their housing waiting lists.
I would refer the Deputy to the reply to Questions Nos. 99 and 110 of 18 April 1989 in regard to the number of local authority houses to be completed during 1989.
