The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that a cheque for £76.32 for the year 1987-88 in respect of the repayment of deposit interest retention tax due was issued to the taxpayer on 17 February 1989. The office of the Collector-General has confirmed that the cheque was negotiated on 1 March 1989. The Inspector of Taxes has issued the appropriate claim form to the taxpayer to enable her to claim any repayment that may be due for 1988-89.
