Vol. 391 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Ballymun (Dublin) School.

61.

asked the Minister for Education if she will make a statement concerning the situation in the Girl's Comprehensive School, Ballymun, Dublin 9, with regard to their need for a teacher of French and a second Home Economics teacher having regard to the fact that the pupils at this school have already suffered disadvantage in respect of loss of teaching hours in these two subjects during the 1988-89 school year.

The board of management of the school in question made an appeal against the allocation of teaching posts authorised by my Department for the 1989-90 school year.

This appeal is under consideration and the board of management of the school will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible.
