The staffing requirements of the courts are under constant review by my Department but, as the Deputy will be aware, subject to current policy on numbers in the Civil Service generally. At this stage it is too early to say whether the coming into operation of the Judicial Separation and Family Law Reform Act, 1989, will require additional staffing in the courts.
