Vol. 392 No. 1

Written Answers. - Jobstown (Dublin) Community College.

352.

asked the Minister for Education the progress which has been made with the provision of the promised Jobstown community college at Tallaght, Dublin 24, in particular the steps she has taken to acquire the site for the college; the other plans or arrangements which have been made; the likely construction and completion date of the college; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

367.

asked the Minister for Education the planned dates for the remaining stages of the building process in respect of Jobstown community college, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

383.

asked the Minister for Education if she will make a statement regarding the present position with regard to the provision of a community college at Jobstown, Tallaght, Dublin 24; and, in particular the steps which have been taken to acquire the site; whether construction will commence next March as promised; and if the classrooms will be available for September 1990.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 352, 367 and 383 together.

Agreement has been reached with the liquidator for the property on the purchase of the site. The arrangements necessary to complete the purchase are at present being made.

The targeted dates for the commencement and completion of the building programme are March 1990 and September 1991, respectively.

It is my firm intention that the projected time-scale, which includes the provision of classrooms for September 1990, will be achieved.
