asked the Minister for the Environment the amendments which are to be made to the Ireland — Road Development Plan 1989 to 1993 submitted as the Road Operational Programme to the European Commission on 30 March 1989 as a result of the shortfall of moneys to be furnished by the Commission to the State by way of Structural Funds; and, in particular, if he will give the road development proposals contained in the operational programme which will not be undertaken in the period 1989-1993 due to the shortfall in funding.

Pending completion of the relevant operational programme, which is at present being finalised in consultation with the EC Commission, it is not possible to indicate the precise details of the road schemes to be undertaken in the period up to 1993.
