In April 1988 a grant of £10,000 was provisionally allocated to Drombane community centre, County Tipperary, under my Department's capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities. It was a condition of the grant allocation that unless work commenced within three months the grant was liable to be withdrawn. As there was no evidence of progress on the project the grant was withdrawn on 17 October 1989 by my Department.
