Each voluntary hospital in receipt of an allocation from my Department is required to submit audited accounts annually, in a standard format supplied by my Department. They are also required to furnish annual accounts produced additionally in any other format. These accounts are examined in my Department and I am satisfied that they accurately reflect expenditure and income incurred on the public health services.
