Vol. 393 No. 2

Written Answers. - Demolition of Finglas (Dublin) House.

49.

asked the Minister for Health if the Eastern Health Board plan to demolish St. Helena's House, Finglas South, Dublin 11; and if he will consider the allocation of £70,000 from national lottery funds for the conservation of this building which is one of a handful of old buildings left in the Finglas area.

St. Helena's House, Finglas South, Dublin 11, is the location of the Eastern Health Board's family resource centre in community care area 6 (Finglas). The original building is old and in need of extensive restoration work. It is the board's intention to retain the building in use and they propose to start on the most urgent maintenance work for its preservation from within their own resources.

The submission made by St. Helena's resource centre for lottery funds will be considered in the context of the arrangements being made for the disbursement of the lottery funds available for health services for the remainder of this year.
