Written Answers. - County Cork Radar Complex.

202.

asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport if it is intended to de-man the Mount Gabriel radar complex at Schull, County Cork; and, if so, when the transfer of staff will commence.

As part of a major air navigation re-equipment programme costing £30 million, two new Monopulse secondary surveillance radars are being installed at Mount Gabriel. This equipment will incorporate extensive remote maintenance facilities and will ensure the provision of a cost-effective and economic services to airline users.
