asked the Minister for Education the reason Deputy Jim Mitchell has not received a reply to correspondence submitted to her Department dated 26 September 1989 and acknowledged on 13 October 1989, regarding the urgent need for assessment and placing in special education of an eight and a half year old disruptive child (details supplied) in Dublin 22; if her attention has been drawn to the severe anxiety of the parents in this case and of the child's school principal who have been co-operating fully to have the child placed; the date on which this case was first referred to her Department; the action, if any, which has been taken by her Department; the dates of each such action; when he will be placed in a school suitable to his needs; and if she will make a full statement on the matter.

My Department are informed that, following a further psychological assessment which it was felt necessary to undertake on the child in question on 17 November last, the Eastern Health Board have been in communication with a residential special national school relating to the child's enrolment.
