Vol. 393 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers.

Before we commence questions, Sir, may I seek your guidance? I and some of my colleagues tabled a number of questions——

I am sorry Deputy I cannot permit an intrusion at this time into the time of questions nominated for priority. I will hear the Deputy later, perhaps.

A Cheann Comhairle, may I seek your permission to raise on the Adjournment the urgent need for an operation on a child in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. I have given the details to the Ceann Comhairle's office.

I will communicate with the Deputy.

These are questions nominated for priority, for which under the Standing Orders of the House 15 minutes only are laid down.

I shall be answering on behalf of the Minister, who is unavoidably abroad.

He is avoidably abroad. He was elected to this Parliament but he is present in another parliament today.

Let us hear the Taoiseach. Deputy Barry please desist.
