asked the Minister for the Environment the percentage increase in planning applications in the period from January to October 1989 inclusive, in contrast to 1987 and 1988 for the planning authority areas of Dublin City, Dublin County, Dún Laoghaire, Cork, Limerick Corporation and Limerick County, Galway Corporation, Galway County, Waterford Corporation and Waterford County; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Planning statistic returns are forwarded to my Department by planning authorities on a quarterly basis and are not compiled on a month by month basis.
