There has been no undue delay by my Department in regard to the north Westmeath group water scheme.
I understand that the design data for this scheme has been submitted to Westmeath County Council for approval. When approval is received, the group will be invited to submit tenders for the proposed works together with current membership details. My Department will then be in a position to estimate the cost of the scheme and to prepare a financial profile outlining potential grant aid and the contribution required from members.
