asked the Minister for Education whether she has sought or received any offers for the post-primary schools site in Castleknock, Dublin 15; if she has any plans to dispose of the site; if her Department have met with any persons in relation to the possible disposal of the site; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

101.

asked the Minister for Education the present position in regard to the building of a post-primary school on the site at Beechpark Avenue, Castleknock, Dublin 15; if she has any plans for disposal of the site; if she has met with any persons in relation to the possible disposal of the site; or if she sought or received any offers for the purchase of the post-primary school site.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 97, 99 and 101 together.

As I indicated in my reply to Question No. 82 of 25 October 1989 I decided in 1987 to defer the provision of a further second level school in the Castleknock area and the matter is being kept under review by my Department. Accordingly, the question of the disposal of the site in Castleknock, owned by my Department, does not arise.

A small portion of the site has been acquired by Dublin County Council for road building purposes. However, this would not adversely affect the provision of a second level school on the site if the need arose.
