The establishment of the Marine Institute is imminent. I am glad to advise the Deputy in this connection that the necessary legislation has now been drafted and the text cleared by Government. The Bill was introduced in Seanad Éireann on 22 November 1989. When the legislation has been enacted, the institute will be established without delay. This will be as early as possible in 1990.
