asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if, in view of the severe income drop sustained by small and medium-sized dry stock farmers this autumn, he will ensure that all livestock headage grants appropriate to the disadvantaged areas will be paid before 31 December 1990.

41.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will have cattle headage grants, suckler cow premia and beef premia paid before Christmas, due to the poor price being paid for all types of cattle.

56.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if all headage and other livestock grants due for payment in disadvantaged areas in the current year will be paid before Christmas.

I propose take Questions Nos. 24, 41 and 56 together.

I shall make every effort to ensure that as many livestock headage grants as possible are paid before 31 December 1990 under the various schemes operated by my Department.
