Tralee Local Voluntary Youth Council have submitted an application for funding for the period 1989-90.
Local voluntary youth councils were sanctioned in August 1988 on a two year pilot basis in nine areas — including Tralee — which are coterminous with VEC administrative areas. A start-up grant of £5,000 was issued to each of the councils in December 1988.
A decision regarding the level of funding for local voluntary youth councils will be made shortly.
