My Department do not pay training grants directly to companies. The levy grant scheme operated by FÁS in certain designated sectors provides for recoupment of the bulk of the employer's levy provided that a proper training plan has been drawn up and implemented. The amounts and details involved would be day-to-day matters for FÁS.
The major training grants to companies are paid under the IDA industrial development programme.
