asked the Minister for Education, in respect of a school (details supplied) in Dublin 6 whether an application for a building grant has been lodged, if the proposed plans have been approved by her Department's architectural section and building unit; whether the proposed building is urgently required; when the school authorities will receive confirmation that their application for a grant has been approved; the amount of money which they will receive; when the project will commence; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

An application for a building grant to meet the cost of replacing classrooms and laboratory buildings at the school in question has been received.
The rate of progress of this and other such projects is dependent on the availability of capital resources and on my Department's other commitments and priorities.
