asked the Minister for the Environment if a decision will be taken on the application made by Killarney Urban District Council for the designation of certain areas under the urban renewal scheme for Killarney; and if he will make a statement on the matter having regard to the necessity to develop the town centre in view of the increasing population and number of tourists visiting the town.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 61 and No. 108 together.
The new urban areas to which I propose to extend designation were set out in reply to Question No. 59 of 19 July 1989. I have no proposals at present to extend designation to other new urban areas.
