451 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for Education, in view of a commitment which she gave in June 1989 to purchase a site for a new community college in Jobstown, Tallaght, Dublin 24, when it is expected that she will complete the purchase of the proposed site; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Agreement has been reached with the liquidator on the purchase price of the site in question and the legal arrangements for its acquisition are currently being processed.
I am not in a position to indicate the precise time when these processes will be finalised as they include matters outside the full control of my Department. The ongoing legal processing, however, will not in any way, constrain arrangements for the construction of the new school on the site, for which tenders will be sought shortly.
