60 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Health the total amount of EC funds provided in (a) 1988 and (b) 1989 for institutions and workshops for the mentally handicapped; the amounts allocated to each health board; the institutions and workshops which were grant-aided in each health board area; and the amount of grant paid in each case.
The information requested by the Deputy is set down in the tabular statement which, with the permission of the Cheann Comhairle, will be circulated in the Official Report.
In addition to the moneys outlined in the tabular statement, up to 15 per cent —estimated — of European Social Fund moneys received by health boards are devoted to the vocational training of mentally handicapped persons.
