58 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education, having regard to the very special problems involved, if she will ensure tht the present staffing levels at Scoil Mháthair Dé, Presentation Convent, Slievekeale Road, Waterford, are maintained and that the school is included in the disadvantaged scheme.
The enrolments in this school have declined in recent years. Enrolment 30-9-1987, 589; Enrolment 30-9-1988, 559; Enrolment 30-9-1989, 532.
The authorised staffing for this school for the 1990-91 school year was determined by the enrolment in the school on 30 September 1989. Five hundred and thirty two pupils were enrolled on that date which warrants a staff of principal plus 15 assistants. The school also has a full remedial teaching post plus a shared remedial teaching post.
