Ceist:111 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the 11 million gallons of milk are being redistributed; and the reason for the delay in making a decision in this regard.

Under the Community regulations for this scheme, the prior approval of the EC Commission is necessary for the method of allocating the quotas in each member state. I have notified the Commission of my proposals and I am expecting clearance for these shortly. When this approval is obtained I will immediately announce my decisions on the allocation of the quotas involved.
