John V. Farrelly

Ceist:

78 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Finance the reason a tax rebate has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a cheque for £21.74 in respect of the refund due for 1988-89 was issued to the taxpayer on 14 December 1989. According to official records the cheque was negotiated on 2 January 1990. No further claim for a rebate of tax has been received by the inspector of taxes from the taxpayer.

79 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance when income tax matters will be finalised in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that an amended certificate of tax-free allowances for the current year, 1989-90, was issued to the taxpayer on 7 February 1990.

Ceist:

80 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance when a tax free allowance certificate will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that a certificate of tax-free allowances was issued to the taxpayer on 23 November 1989.
