Ceist:78 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Finance the reason a tax rebate has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Income Tax.
I am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a cheque for £21.74 in respect of the refund due for 1988-89 was issued to the taxpayer on 14 December 1989. According to official records the cheque was negotiated on 2 January 1990. No further claim for a rebate of tax has been received by the inspector of taxes from the taxpayer.

Ceist:79 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance when income tax matters will be finalised in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Cork.
I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that an amended certificate of tax-free allowances for the current year, 1989-90, was issued to the taxpayer on 7 February 1990.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that a certificate of tax-free allowances was issued to the taxpayer on 23 November 1989.
