Ceist:117 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for the Marine the number of (a) men and (b) women in his Department in the higher executive officer grade and above in (i) 1989 and (ii) 1986.

On 31 December 1989 there were (a) 35 men and (b) 12 women serving as higher executive officers or above in my Department. As the Department was established in March, 1987 there are no comparable figures available for 1986.
