Ceist:78 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he has any plans to increase the staff resources of the Combat Poverty Agency or to ask it to undertake any new areas of work in 1990.

Under the provisions of the Combat Poverty Agency Act, 1986 the agency is required to submit to me a strategic plan outlining its proposed activities for each three year period. I will shortly be discussing with the agency its strategic plan for the period January 1990 to December 1993. In that context I will also be discussing with the agency their staff resources.
