Vol. 396 No. 2

Written Answers. - Tax Refunds.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

92 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance when a tax free allowance and any necessary refund will issue in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that from the information supplied and particularly in the absence of a revenue and social insurance number (RSI number) they are unable to trace the taxpayer in their records. If the correct RSI number is quoted, the matter will be further pursued.

Ceist:

93 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance when a refund of income tax will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a tax free allowance certificate on a cumulative basis was issued by the inspector to the taxpayer on 16 February 1990.

Any tax overdeducted from her earnings in the current year will be refundable to her by her present employer.
