121 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Health if he will provide sufficient finance to upgrade facilities at the University College Hospital helipad, County Galway, in order that emergency landings may take place there without any delay being incurred; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that the Western Health Board have written to my Department within the past two days regarding this matter.

The question of provision of funding for upgrading the helipad at University College Hospital, Galway, will be considered by my Department in consultation with the board, in the context of the board's total demands on the capital programme for 1990.
