Ceist:193 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Offaly will be called for an urgent operation in the Meath Hospital, Dublin 8.
Written Answers. - Provision of Medical Treatment.
I understand that the person in question is a 70 year old lady who was referred from Tullamore Hospital to the Meath Hospital. She was examined in the Meath Hospital on 7 February 1990 but no decision was taken on the appropriate method of treatment at that time.
I understand the medical teams in both hospitals are now considering how her condition can best be treated.
