184 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education if she will outline the following details in relation to Trinity House Special School at Oberstown, Lusk, County Dublin; the number of staff by category, such as care staff and teaching staff, currently employed by the school; the corresponding figures since its establishment in 1983; the number of staff by similar category who have departed from Trinity House since its foundation for each calendar year since 1983; the training and qualifications of the care staff currently employed; the average length of stay of each staff by category since 1983; and the number of staff who have been assaulted by children in the school each calendar year since 1983.

185 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education if she will outline the following details in relation to Trinity House Special School at Oberstown, Lusk, County Dublin: the number of children currently placed in Trinity House; the number of children and the ages of such children who have been placed in the school since its foundation; the ages of the children currently placed in the school; the reason for the placement of children in the school; the type of offences they have committed; the average length of stay for each child in the school; the number of children transferred to St. Patrick's Institution and Mountjoy Prison while resident in the school; the number of children who, since their release from the school, have subsequently re-offended and have been placed in custody in St. Patrick's Institution and Mountjoy Prison; the number of occasions on which children have absconded from the school each year; and the number of children who absconded each year.

186 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education if she will outline the following details in relation to Trinity House Special School at Oberstown, Lusk, County Dublin: the cost per child per year and for each year since 1983; the present membership of the board of management; and if the board of management or the school management make publicly available reports on the school.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 184, 185 and 186 together.

As regards the information requested entails data at considerable length, I propose to have it supplied to the Deputy within the next few days.
