Vol. 396 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Kerry School.

Dick Spring

Ceist:

190 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Education if the planning of the extension to Causeway comprehensive school, County Kerry, is proceeding on the basis of pupil numbers agreed in April 1989.

In common with all building projects, the Causeway extension project was reviewed recently and as a result it was decided that in the long-term, 500 pupil places would suffice for this school.

The matter was discussed at a meeting with representatives of the vocational education committee on 8 March 1990 and the question as to the number of places to be provided will be re-examined in the light of further statistical data to be supplied by the committee.
