This applicant has already received payments under the 1989 calf premium scheme and special beef premium scheme together with 70 per cent advance payment under the 1989 beef cow and equines headage scheme. Payments covering the balance payable under the latter scheme and the full amount due to him under the 1989 suckler cow scheme are being processed and will issue shortly.

99 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of headage grants will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This applicant has received payment under the 1989 sheep headage scheme, an advance of 1989 ewe premium and a 70 per cent advance payment under the 1989 cattle and equines headage scheme already. Payment covering the balance payable under the latter scheme and the full amounts due to him under the 1989 calf, special beef and suckler cow premium schemes are being processed and will issue shortly. Payment of the balance of 1989 ewe premium cannot be made until later this year after inspections, now in progress, have been completed.

Michael Creed

Ceist:

100 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an application for a suckler grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; the date on which the application was made; the reason for the delay in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Payment to this applicant under the 1989 EC suckler cow premium scheme is being processed and will issue shortly. As this payment is being made with many others there is no particular delay in this case.

The person named omitted to enter the tag numbers of his calves on his 1989 calf premium scheme application form and he has been requested to submit them to the local office of my Department but has not done so to date. When he does, the question of payment of grants to him under this scheme will be considered further.

His application forms in respect of the 1989 calf premium and EC suckler cow premium schemes were received in the local office of my Department on 12 March 1989 and 21 July 1989 respectively.

Michael Creed

Ceist:

101 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a cow suckler grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; the date on which the application was made; the reason for the delay in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department is unable to trace any application from the person named for grants under the 1989 EC suckler cow premium scheme.

However an application for grants under this scheme was received on 14 July 1989 from the registered owner of the herd number quoted and his payment is being processed and will issue shortly.
As this payment is being made with many others there is no particular delay in this case.

Michael Creed

Ceist:

102 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a grant for farm buildings will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; the date on which the application was made; the date of inspection; the reason for the delay in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An application for the work in this case was received on 8 March 1989. The approval did not issue until 10 October 1989 because planning permission was required. The final inspection took place on 31 January 1990. The grant will be paid shortly.

Liam Aylward

Ceist:

103 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if installation aid will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

Under the regulations governing this scheme this applicant has been deemed ineligible for installation aid.

Ivan Yates

Ceist:

104 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be approved for an installation premium; and when a final decision will be given in this regard.

As this is a complex case the review of this application has not yet been completed.
