101 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Finance the reason a person (details supplied) in County Wexford had his tax-free allowances further reduced, in view of the fact that all the tax arrears have been discharged by him; if he will amend his tax-free allowance for the new tax year; and, if so, when.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that, due to an error, an incorrect certificate of tax-free allowances was issued to the taxpayer for 1990-91. An amended certificate granting allowances of £2,825 (=£54.33 per week) will be issued to him within the next ten days.
