Vol. 397 No. 6

Written Answers. - Farm Inspections.

Ivan Yates

Ceist:

121 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the current travel restrictions on staff working in his Department under the farm development scheme operation; and if he will take action to ensure that farm inspections may be carried out for essential work including pollution control measures as these are currently delayed because the staff cannot carry out these inspections in County Wexford, in view of the fact that no grant will be paid for any work undertaken by farmers without prior approval.

Arrangements have been made to ensure that inspection work under the farm investment schemes is fully serviced.
