95 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Education whether she will sanction two additional teachers for St. Brigid's girl's national school, Palmerstown, Dublin 20, for September 1990; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
The staffing of national schools for the 1990-91 school year is determined by the enrolment in the school on the 30 September 1989. In the case of St. Brigid's girls' national school, there were 437 pupils enrolled on that date, which warrant a staff of principal plus 13 assistants for the 1990-91 school year. The school also has the services of a full-time remedial teacher.
The school will be entitled, therefore, to appoint one additional assistant teacher from 1 September 1990.
