190 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he has received a request from a person (details supplied) in Dublin 1, for an investigation into the handling of his spouse's application for disability benefit; if so, when the investigation will be carried out; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The person concerned claimed disability benefit from 27 February 1990. She is being paid in full at the rate of £55.90 per week. Arrears of payment, amounting to £12.90, issued on 3 April 1990.
Representations regarding a delay in issuing the first payment were received by my Department on 10 April 1990. This investigation has been completed and a reply to these representations will be issued soon.
