Ruairí Quinn

Ceist:

248 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for the Environment if he will name the senior officer in each major local authority who has been assigned to carry out a survey and assess the arrangements in its area for clean up activities and to prepare plans for short-term low cost improvements in relation to litter control, the elimination of dumping and fly tipping, the appearance of public buildings and facilities and their surroundings, the conditions of roadside margins, the elimination of derelict structures and unsightly unauthorised hoardings and the removal of abandoned cars, having regard to the undertakings which were made by him in the environment action programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
