Ceist:

257 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received from Cavan County Council the plans which it had been asked to submit in relation to the upgrading of treatment works at Ballyjamesduff so as to improve the quality of Lough Sheelin and related waters; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have approved the design brief to be issued to consulting engineers in respect of the scheme referred to. It is now a matter for Cavan County Council to complete the appointment procedures so that proposals may be prepared and submitted to my Department.
