Ceist:30 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice if he intends to introduce legislation to implement the recommendations of the Law Reform Commission in regard to the admission of business records in evidence in criminal trials.

As already announced, proposals for a criminal evidence Bill are at an advanced state of preparation. They provide for the admission of business records in criminal proceedings. I expect to circulate the Bill later in the year.
